From the South, Southwest, or West:
There are two equally FAST ways, if you are driving from Manchester, NH; Boston, MA; or other points to the South, Southwest, and West of Weirs Beach.
Make your decision which way to go before you get to Concord, NH. The first route will take you past the Lakes Region Factory Outlet Stores, while the second, past the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Each route takes about 45 minutes from Concord.
Route Past the Malls
From Route 93 North in Concord, NH, stay on 93 until Exit 20, then go left and follow Route 3 North all the way to Weirs Beach. The outlet stores are on the left a short distance from the exit. Continue about 7 miles north, past Lake Winnisquam. Shortly after passing the Belknap Mall on your left, take a right onto the Laconia Bypass highway. When the highway ends, bear right. In about a mile, immediately after the Winnipesaukee Plaza/Lowe’s shopping center on the left and the Gilford Mobil Mart on the right, take a right. Follow Weirs Boulevard for 3 miles along Paugus Bay to Weirs Beach. Turn right at the big Weirs Beach arrow sign onto Lakeside Avenue. Go past the Half Moon arcades, then turn left onto Tower St. The entrance to the Half Moon Motel & Cottages is 50 feet up the hill on the left.
Route Past the Speedway
From Route 93 North in Concord, take Exit 15E to Route 393 East. In about 3 miles exit to Route 106 North. Then after 10 miles you’ll pass the speedway. In about another ten miles, while descending a hill you’ll pass some car dealerships. Near the bottom of that hill take a right, joining Route 3 North onto the Laconia Bypass highway. Stay on Route 3 North the rest of the way to Weirs Beach. When the bypass highway ends, bear right. In about a mile, immediately after the Winnipesaukee Plaza/Lowe’s shopping center on the left and the Gilford Mobil Mart on the right, take a right. Follow Weirs Boulevard for 3 miles along Paugus Bay to Weirs Beach. Turn right at the big Weirs Beach arrow sign onto Lakeside Avenue. Go past the Half Moon arcades, then turn left onto Tower St. The entrance to the Half Moon Motel & Cottages is 50 feet up the hill on the left.
From the North or Northwest:
If you are driving from Burlington, VT; Montreal, PQ, or other points to the North and Northwest of Weirs Beach, take Route 93 South to Exit 23 in New Hampton, NH. Take Route 104 East. After about 14 miles, Route 104 ends at the intersection of Route 3 in Meredith. Turn right onto Route 3 South. Follow it 3 miles to Weirs Beach. Turn left at the big Weirs Beach arrow sign onto Lakeside Avenue. Go past the Half Moon arcades, then turn left onto Tower St. The entrance to the Half Moon Motel & Cottages is 50 feet up the hill on the left.
From the Southeast:
If you are driving from the North Shore of Massachusetts; Portsmouth, NH, or other points to the Southeast of Weirs Beach, take Route 95 to NH Route 16/Spaulding Turnpike. Follow Route 16 about 20 miles to Route 11. Follow Route 11 about 15 miles to Alton Bay. Continue on Route 11 past Alton Bay about 20 miles to Gilford. In Gilford, at the intersection of 11 and 11B, take a right towards Weirs Beach. Turn right at the big Weirs Beach arrow sign onto Lakeside Avenue. Go past the Half Moon arcades, then turn left onto Tower St. The entrance to the Half Moon Motel & Cottages is 50 feet up the hill on the left.
From the Northeast:
If you are driving from Portland, Maine, or other points to the East or Northeast of Weirs Beach, find your way to the intersection of Routes 16 and Routes 25 in Ossipee. Follow Route 25 from Ossipee about 20 miles to the center of Meredith. Take a left at the light onto Route 3 South. Follow it 3 miles to Weirs Beach. Turn left at the big Weirs Beach arrow sign onto Lakeside Avenue. Go past the Half Moon arcades, then turn left onto Tower St. The entrance to the Half Moon Motel & Cottages is 50 feet up the hill on the left.
