General Policies

Minimum Age

You must be 21 years of age or older to reserve a room or cottage.

Extra people

For more than the included people in a unit, there is an additional charge of $10 per extra person per night. Children five and under stay free.

Cots or air mattresses are available for certain units. They must be requested in advance. Cots or air mattresses are an extra $10 per night.

Visitors

Guests may not invite visitors onto the property without authorization from the Motel Manager.

There is a fee of $50 per day per visitor for unauthorized visitors.

Tax

The NH Meals & Rooms tax is 8 1/2 %.

Check-in

Check-in time is after 3pm for motel rooms; and after 4pm for cottages. Please check in no later than 9pm.

Early arrival: If arriving before your check-in time, you may park your vehicle(s) for free on the premises. There is plenty to do within walking distance in Weirs Beach while you wait for check-in.

Early check-in requests must be made in advance of arrival. Please call us as far in advance as possible if you would like to request an early check-in. Early check-in requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Late arrival: If your plans require you to arrive after 9pm, please let us know in advance, and we can make arrangements for your late arrival. If you planned to arrive during normal office hours, but find that you are running very late, please call and inform us that you will be arriving late, and we will instruct you on our late check-in procedure. If you do not call us, and arrive after 9pm, there is no guarantee of accommodation upon your arrival.

Parking

There is no charge for parking.

Every unit has one dedicated parking space. Motel Lower Balcony and Small Cottage guests park on the lawn directly in front of their unit. Motel Upper Balcony and Shared Balcony Cottage guests park in the upper parking lot. Large Cottage with Screened-in Porch guests park on the grass, next to or in front of their unit.

Besides the single, dedicated parking space, guests may park one extra car per unit at the Half Moon. Second vehicles park on the grass on either side of the pool. Extra parking is available off-site for guests who bring more than two vehicles. The off-site parking lot is a very short walk from the Half Moon.

Housekeeping

All units receive maid service twice a week and towel service daily. Customers need to leave their towels outside their unit to be exchanged. 

Check–out

Please check out no later than 10am. All late departures must be approved by the front desk. We will charge your card for a 1/2 day if you have not checked out by noon. We will charge your card for a full day if you have not checked out by 1pm.  You may park your vehicle for free on the premises after check-out, provided it is gone by the end of the day.

Guest Cancellation Policy

There is a $50 fee to cancel your reservation. If you cancel 10 days or more before arrival, you will receive a refund of your deposit, less the cancellation fee. If you cancel 9 days or less before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. If you do not check in on your arrival date, and have not cancelled, you will be charged for the full balance due of your reservation.

Guest Change Policy

There is a $50 fee to change your reservation dates or your unit type. Date changes nine days or less before arrival are subject to our cancellation policy. Unit changes are subject to available rooms and rates.

Group Cancellation Policy

 There is a $100 fee PER UNIT to cancel your reservation. If you cancel 30 days or more before arrival, you will receive a refund of  your deposit, less the cancellation fee. If you cancel 29 days or less before arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. If you do not check in on your arrival date, and have not cancelled, you will be charged for the full balance due of your reservation.

Group Change Policy

There is a $100 fee PER UNIT to change your reservation dates.  Date changes 29 days or less before arrival are subject to the cancellation policy.  Unit changes are subject to available rooms and rates, plus a $100 change fee PER UNIT.

Lost Key Policy

We use old-fashioned metal room keys. They are costly to replace. There is a $25 fee, per key, if your key or keys are not returned to our office at the end of your stay.

Smoking Policy

All of our Motel rooms and Cottages are NON-SMOKING.  For those guests who still wish to smoke, they may smoke outside their room, on their porch or balcony.

Guests who smoke inside their rooms or Cottages will be charged a smoking fee of $100 per night.

Pet Policy

We normally don’t accept pets. However, for Cottages C-01, C-06, and C-10 ONLY, we will accept one medium (40-80 lbs) dog; or, one or two small (less than 40 lbs) dog(s). There is a pet fee of $50 per stay when bringing your dog(s). Please call or email us first if you are considering bringing your dog(s). Please remember, we accept small or medium dogs only – no cats, other kinds of pets, or large dogs (over 80 lbs).

Dogs must be well-behaved and on a leash at all times when on the property. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. Please clean up after your pet. Dogs may not be left unattended on the screened-in porch, or left unattended inside the cottage. The pet fee will be TRIPLED if your dog(s) is left unattended.

Guests who bring pets without our permission will be charged a pet fee of $100 per night.

Grilling Policy

We do not provide barbeque grills, but you are welcome to bring your own.  Grills may never be used on the balconies or porches of units.  They may be used on black asphalt or on green lawn only.  Please keep the grill a minimum of 10 feet away from your unit.

Additional Amenities

All rooms and cottages are supplied with hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Please ask at the office if any of these amenities are missing. Clothes irons and ironing boards are supplied for most motel rooms, and some cottages. Please ask at the offfice if you need a clothes iron and ironing board.

Extra Blankets & Pillows

In the bedroom of all of our Large Two Room Cottages, on the shelf above the bureau, is a linen package with an extra blanket, a top and a bottom double sheet, and an extra pillow. The same package is in our Motel Upper Balcony rooms, on the shelf above the sleep sofa. Our Motel Lower Balcony rooms, Large One Room Cottages, and Small Cottages are all provided with an extra blanket and pillow, which can be found inside the bureau. Please ask at our office if you can’t find, or need another, extra blanket and/or pillow.

Quiet Time

We asks our guests to keep quiet between the hours of 10pm and 8am. Your neighbors will appreciate it.

Luggage

If you need us to hold your luggage for you for a brief period of time before check-in or after check-out, there is no fee charged. However, any luggage held overnight will incur a $10 fee for overnight storage.

Packages

We charge a $10 handling fee for receiving any packages. Please make sure your package is well marked, with your name and reservation number. For shipping any packages, we charge a $10 handling fee, plus the shipping charge. Large packages will also incur a $10 fee for overnight storage.
