To take advantage of this deal, a two-night minimum stay is required. You may arrive on Monday and depart on Wednesday, or arrive on Tuesday and depart on Thursday. Please note, only Tuesday night is at Half Price. Please call us to get this deal.
Half Price Tuesdays are not available for Cottages #C-11 or #C-12.
In astronomy, there is no such thing as a Half Moon. What we think of as a Half Moon is known as the “First Quarter”, or the “Third Quarter”/”Last Quarter” moon. The First Quarter moon occurs about one week after a New Moon, when the moon is “waxing” (increasing in visibility), and faces to the left. The Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) moon occurs about one week after a Full Moon, when the moon is “waning” (decreasing in visibility), and faces to the right.
Do you know the meaning of the “Neap” tide? During the Half Moon, there is the least amount of difference between the high and low tides. Of course, there are no tides on Lake Winnipesaukee…
Native Americans applied a special name to the moon of each month. May was the Corn-Planting Moon; June, the Strawberry Moon; July, the Thunder Moon; August, the Red Moon; September, the Harvest Moon; and October, the Hunter’s Moon.
